Inviting new users

In this section we will cover inviting users to use SPAreporter. Unlike SPAmarkbook that requires a license for each user. SPAreporter is licensed on the number of students in your school. This means that the number of users you can invite is unlimited. So for example, you might decide to give your instrumental music teachers access to SPAreporter, so they can write their reports digitally.

Log in to the SPAplatform.

Enter email of the person you want to invite.

  1. Choose if you would like them to be a administrator.
  2. If you own SPAmarkbook and you would like to give this user access to SPAmarkbook (this will use 1 of your SPAmarkbook licences) choose this option. Otherwise leave it unchecked and the user will just get access to the SPAplatform to use SPAreporter.
  3. Click Add Invite.

You can invite multiple users at once by copying and pasting in a list of users into the Invites box, with each email address separated by a comma. Follow the same steps as above to assign this list of users admin and SPAmarkbook rights. Once you click "Add" You will be able to add and remove admin and SPAmarkbook rights to each user individually.

If you have assigned users to SPAmarkbook, you may find you need to purchase additional SPAmarkbook licences because your school does not own enough SPAmarkbook licences for the number of users your have requested access. If this is the case, you will be prompted to purchase additional licenses at this point. You can see the number of licenses at the top of this invite box.

Check the email addresses are correct for your invites. You can delete an invite by clicking the red X.

1. When all you Invites have been added click the "Send Invites" button.

The staff you have sent invites to will receive and email from SPA asking them to 'accept their invitation to SPAplatform'. They will need to click on the link in the email from SPAplatform and setup their details. These staff will then be able to login to SPAplatform at www.spaplatform.com.au

Their username will be their email address, and their password will have been chosen individually by each staff member when they accepted their invitation.
