Let's now take a look at each Item available and the options you have in each one. In Each of the examples below i have clicked on the edit option to edit that item

1. Title

1. Title

This is pretty simple it's the name you would like to give this section of the report.

  1. Give your item a name
  2. Click Save
  3. Click back to Section on the Navigation bread crumbs menu to go back to the section.

2. AusVels

2. AusVels

This item will turn on the curriculum graph into this section. The actual Learning Areas and Strands that will appear in the graph were decided on back when you assigned Learning Areas to Subjects. See Assigning Domains to Subjects-Primary Schools or Assigning Domains to Subjects-Secondary Schools to be reminded.

  1. You can turn on and off the A-E correlations to be displayed next to the AusVels Score. However, this is going against government guidelines
  2. The "Display for print" option will decided weather this graph will be displayed on this page when printing, or whether the information will instead be only displayed on the summary page. If you leave the 'display to print' checked, and you also have a summary page with a curriculum graph there, the scores will appear in both places.

Special "Summary AusVels"

Special "Summary AusVels"

This item is only available in the "Summary" Section template. This item creates a summarised version of all the AusVels scores across a students report.

3. Comments

3. Comments

The comments Item lets you add a single comment or a group of comments. A group of comments will all be displayed together in a report and can have their own title. You can have multple groups of comments in a section. Each group can contain multiple comments.

Using the Signature type selector you can choose the type of signature you would like this comment or group of comments to get. This will alter who is to sign this group of comments.

Adding comments and choosing options for that comment.

Adding comments and choosing options for that comment.
  1. Add a new comment to a group by selecting "Add comment"
  2. Give that particular comment a Title (note that you can add some special details here. For example adding {name} will insert the child's name into the comment) Refer to the example box that is displayed for all the different options you can add.
  3. Choose if the comment is required to be filled out (this makes sure a teacher can not mark a report complete without this comment box being filled in.)
  4. Choose if you would like to limit the number of characters you can write in this comment box.

4. Work Habits

4. Work Habits

The work habits item creates a special work habits selection box on a 5 point scale that a teacher marks when they are writing a report. For the moment this is locked to a 5 point scale from Needs Attention- Excellent. (in a future update we will unlock this for you to create your own scale)

  1. You can add as many habits as you would like to score against by clicking the 'Add Habit' option and then giving that habit a title.

5. Absences

5. Absences

This simply includes the number of days a student was absent from school. You can override the default wording by un-checking this option and then changing the wording in the boxes below.
