Instructions on how to export ACER online tests and import them into your SPA account.
In this manual we are going to learn how to export your ACER PAT Online testing data into an excel spread sheet ready to be uploaded into SPA.
Step 1: Login to your ACER OARS account
You first need to login to your OARS account from the ACER website. If you have a link saved to your favourites you can go directly there.
If not then you can follow this link https://oars.acer.edu.au/clients/search and search for your school. Search for your school name and click the link to take you to the login screen.
Step 2: Once you have logged in you will be taken to this screen. From here click the Reports Button and select Standard
Step 5: Select report constraints
1- Select Test number
2- Select test period
3- Select Year Level - If you have multiple year levels sitting the same booklet you will need to export multiple files.
EG Test 1 Year 1 , Test 1 Year 2 and so on.
4- Click Generate Report
Step 6: Download Report
1- Click compare to Year Level - If ACER doesn't give you the option to compare to the correct year. You can change it once you have downloaded the Excel file by changing the cell A9 to say the correct year.
EG Year 3 Norms
2 Click download and Select Table (Excel File)
The file will now be downloaded to your computer
1- Click on Change Report
This will take you back to Step 5: Select report constraints and you can start on the next file. Repeat Steps 5 -9 until all you exported all your test data.
Step 10: Make sure ID numbers and Norms are correct
1- Check the Norms are correct. The Norms should be the same as the year level of the students in the file. This can be changed by editing the cell number to show the correct year. EG from Year 2 Norms to Year 1 Norms
2- Make sure your students ID numbers are in the Unique Id. You may need to copy and paste them from the Username column.
Step 11: Uploading your data.
Once you have done all of the above you just need to save the file and proceed to the uploading section of SPA and upload the file as usual.
1- Login to SPAstandard
2- Go to Administration
3- Click Upload Your Data
4- Click Upload Files
For here you can uploaded all the file. You can highlight all the files you want to upload and uploaded them all at once.
