How to upload and assign photos to your students

Attention! IMPORTANT INFORMATION

ALL PHOTOS MUST BE IN JPG format

Step 1: First Create and upload your Advanced Student ID file.

In order to attach photos to a student you will first need to create and upload the Advanced Student ID file. The details of this can be found here.

Step 2: You are now ready to upload and assign photos to a child

Once you have created the Advanced Student ID file and uploaded it into your account you are now ready to upload and assign photos to a child. To do this you will create a folder with all of your student’s photos in it with their corresponding student ID number. You will then zip these photos up into one file and upload this file into SPA.

2b: Make sure all the ID numbers are correct and MATCH the ID number you have uploaded in the Student ID file in Part 1.

Step 3: You now need to zip up the photos into a single ZIP file.

Select all photos in the folder by highlighting all your files or pressing Command-A on your keyboard to select all the photos.

Right click on any one of the highlighted files and choose “Compress # Items”

If done correctly you should now have a file called Archive.zip in the folder along with all your photos.

Select all photos in the folder by highlighting all your files or pressing Control-A on your keyboard to select all the photos.

  1. Right-click any of the highlighted files
  2. Point to Send to, and then click Compressed (zipped) folder
  3. A new compressed folder is created in the same location as the photos
  4. To rename it, right-click the folder, click Rename, and then type the new name.

If done correctly you should now have a file called Archive.zip in the folder along with all your photos

Step 4: Upload photos to your account

Your photos are now ready to be uploaded into your SPA account.
